Ingredients

For the sandwich

  • 1 piece Everything Bagel or your favorite type
  • 3 oz thinly sliced Steak
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 1 slice American Cheese because what's breakfast without cheese?
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp Butter for toasting the bagel

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a skillet over medium heat, add a bit of butter. Once it’s melted, toss in your thinly sliced steak. Season with salt and pepper. Cook it for about 2-3 minutes until it’s nice and brown.
  • In a separate small bowl, crack your egg and beat it lightly. Pour your egg into the same skillet after the steak is cooked, and scramble the egg until it’s fluffy and cooked through—this should only take a minute or two.
  • Place your slice of American cheese over the egg just before it’s done cooking, allowing it to melt.
  • Toast your bagel in a toaster or on the skillet until it’s golden brown. Optionally, you can spread a bit of butter on the inside.
  • Assemble by placing the cheesy egg mixture on one half of the bagel, top it with the cooked steak, and cover it with the other half.
  • Enjoy your breakfast creation!

Notes

Steak substitutes include turkey sausage or veggie patties. Any type of bagel can be used and can be adjusted with seasonings. Consider adding avocado slices or hot sauce for extra flavor.
