  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

  • fresh basil for garnish

Instructions
 

Cooking the Pasta

  • Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  • Drain and set aside.

Preparing the Sauce

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, avoiding burning.
  • Stir in the halved cherry tomatoes and dried oregano, cooking for about 5-7 minutes until the tomatoes soften and burst.

Combining Ingredients

  • Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet, mixing everything well.
  • Season with salt and pepper, and add a pinch of red pepper flakes if desired.

Serving

  • Plate the dish and garnish with fresh basil and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese if you like.

Notes

Feel free to swap out cherry tomatoes for seasonal veggies like zucchini, bell peppers, or spinach. A splash of balsamic vinegar before serving enhances flavor.
