Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 8 oz cheese (cheddar or pepper jack) cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1 cup salami chopped into quarters
  • 1/2 cup pickles sliced into rounds or quarters

Marinade

  • 1 cup olive oil the ultimate flavor carrier
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning or other favorite seasoning

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cut the cheese into bite-sized cubes, aiming for about 1-inch pieces.
  • Chop the salami into quarters.
  • If using whole pickles, slice them into rounds or quarters.

Mixing and Marinating

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cheese, salami, and pickles.
  • In a separate bowl or jar, whisk together the olive oil, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, and Italian seasoning.
  • Pour the marinade over the cheese, salami, and pickles. Toss gently until well-coated.
  • Cover and let it sit in the fridge for at least 2 hours, or overnight for better flavor.

Serving

  • When ready to serve, present with toothpicks or small skewers.

Notes

Feel free to customize with other ingredients such as olives or cherry tomatoes. Marinate longer for even more flavor. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for about three days.
