Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs pork ribs (Baby back or spare ribs) Choose your preferred type of ribs.
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce Use store-bought or homemade sauce.
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar Adds tanginess to the dish.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar For sweetness.
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Preparation

  • Remove the silver skin from the ribs using a paper towel for better grip.
  • In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Rub this spice blend generously all over the ribs.

Cooking

  • Layer the ribs in your crockpot, cutting them in half if necessary.
  • In another bowl, mix together the barbecue sauce and apple cider vinegar. Pour this mixture over the ribs.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
  • Once done, carefully remove the ribs and optionally brush on more barbecue sauce and broil for 5 minutes.

Notes

Double the recipe for leftovers; they pair well with coleslaw or cornbread. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
