Ingredients
  

Shrimp Preparation

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

Coating Mixture

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs For extra crunch

Honey Glaze

  • ½ cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)

Garnish (Optional)

  • sesame seeds for garnish
  • green onions for garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels.
  • In one bowl, mix the flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • In another bowl, beat the eggs.
  • In a third bowl, pour in the panko breadcrumbs.

Coating the Shrimp

  • Dip each shrimp into the flour mixture, then the eggs, and finally coat it in the panko.
  • Set aside on a plate.

Frying

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with enough oil to cover the bottom of the skillet.
  • Gently place the shrimp in the hot oil and fry for about 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.

Making the Glaze

  • In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, and vinegar over medium heat.
  • Stir until heated through and slightly syrupy.

Serving

  • Place the crispy shrimp in a bowl, drizzle the glaze over, and toss to coat.
  • Top with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.

Notes

Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch. Consider doubling the honey glaze if you like it stickier. Serve with rice or salad for a complete meal.
