Ingredients
  

For the Bruschetta

  • 1 baguette 1 baguette (or Italian bread) Choose ciabatta or pita as alternatives if needed.
  • 1 cup 1 cup burrata cheese Can be substituted with fresh mozzarella or creamy goat cheese.
  • 1 cup 1 cup juicy tomatoes Preferably heirloom or cherry tomatoes.
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves Fresh basil enhances flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil Plus more for drizzling.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Use to enhance flavor.
  • Balsamic glaze Optional, for aesthetic and flavor.

Instructions
 

Toast the Bread

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (or 200°C).
  • Slice the baguette into about 1-inch thick slices and arrange them on a baking sheet.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the bread and sprinkle with salt.
  • Toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until golden, turning halfway through.

Prepare the Toppings

  • Chop tomatoes into bite-sized pieces.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine tomatoes with fresh basil, a pinch of salt, black pepper, and a drizzle of olive oil.

Assemble the Bruschetta

  • Remove toasted bread from the oven and let cool slightly.
  • Generously spoon the tomato-basil mixture onto each slice.
  • Tear the burrata cheese into pieces and place atop the tomato mixture.
  • Drizzle balsamic glaze if desired.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh. Store toppings separately in the refrigerator for up to a day. Make sure to toast bread just before serving for optimal crispiness.
